The first baby arrives - an exciting time for the young couple but one which also brings with it uncertainty. Parents to be are looking for guidance, advice and inspiration at a stage of life which, for them, is new and unknown. Whether it's choosing the right toys, advice on changing nappies, breastfeeding or bath time. The first option is often to grab the smartphone, tablet or notebook - and to enter the digital world - to search for the relevant information in blogs, forums, test platforms social media or in online shops. From this has emerged a range of relevant, digital "touch points" with the parent target group; touch points which manufacturers of products for babies and small children could take advantage of - however our investigation shows that these are often under used or used inconsistently.
As a manufacturer therefore, how do I manage to establish myself in the relevant set for this target group over the long term? What opportunities are there to appeal to parents with my message in an effective way? How can I generate interest and use the parental need for information for my brand?
In our presentation we provide answers to these and many other questions resulting from the changed conditions in brand and product communication with the parent target group.
