In this talk, we’ll take you on the journey from an initial product idea to the development of a coherent and meaningful collection. Using the example of grow-with-your-child furniture, we’ll explore how a single functional piece can evolve into a holistic design world – with a clear visual language, thoughtful functionality, and a consistent thread that ties all elements together.

We'll dive into the challenges of the design process, how to balance modularity and scalability, and the question: How do you stay consistent in design without limiting creativity?

Our central example is the MoveMi Collection – a series of grow-with-your-child furniture inspired by the principles of Montessori education. The collection is designed to foster children’s independence by offering furniture at eye level that they can use and explore on their own. It combines child-centered design with long-lasting functionality and aesthetic clarity – and demonstrates how a strong product vision can be transformed, step by step, into a thoughtful and brand-defining collection.
