The latest innovation from Ergobaby launching in August/September 2019, the Embrace Baby Carrier, has been specifically designed for Newborns and up through the first month (3.2 – 11.3 kg). Made from super soft knit fabric that gently cradles newborn from day one this carrier is lightweight, grows with baby, is simple and fast to use and provides the best of comfort for baby and parent.
It almost feels like a stretchy wrap without being a wrap, as it ties with buckles on criss-cross shoulder straps and a clever designed waist belt.
With an easy double flip of the waist belt the Embrace baby carrier provides two carry modes (newborn mode and baby mode) by which the back panel of the carrier adjusts for baby’s legs in seat width and for baby’s back in length of back panel offering an ergonomic carry position according to baby’s ages and stages.
A padded head and neck support at the upper end of the back panel adds extra comfort and safety for baby.
No elaborate tying skills are needed and yet the Embrace gives the feeling of wearing a stretchy wrap that is preferred to soft structured carriers by lots of parents through the first 3-4 months, also known as the fourth trimester. The Embrace is one carrier for all sizes (XS-XXL), ultra-light (only 480 g) and breathable as there is less fabric compared to other makes and only one layer compared to wraps that need at least 3 layers over baby’s back to provide a safe and secure carry position.
Comfort for the parent comes from the supportive waist belt and spreadable criss-cross shoulder straps for even weight distribution. The soft cozy knit fabric cradles baby comfortably like a gentle hug – a true Embrace.
