Even though Kind + Jugend will not take place in 2020 due to the corona pandemic, the Kids Design Award will still be presented – because great emphasis is being put on creative ideas and innovations for the children's room of tomorrow, especially in this exceptional year. Find out who the 10 nominees of the Kids Design Award are here.
This year, the Kids Design Award will be presented on the first day of the fair (17 September) during an online event. It distinguishes young designers and design students for product concepts, ideas, designs and prototypes that are not yet commercially available. A record number of 166 young designers from 39 countries submitted their ideas. The 10 nominees have now been announced and the winner for the best product idea or prototype in 2020 will be picked on 15 September by an independent jury made up of individuals from the areas of design, industry and education. In addition to winning the award, the nominated designers have the chance of being chosen for a product sponsorship by selected representatives of industry and commerce. They support the young designers in bringing their product to market maturity.
