Wigiwama Launches New Terrazzo Fabric Collection

Wigiwama, a leading premium kids’ soft furniture brand in Europe, is delighted to announce the addition of a new fabric to its collection featuring the timeless terrazzo pattern. More than just a design choice, the new pattern is a celebration of sustainability and heritage, bringing a piece of history into the modern home.

The history of terrazzo, a construction material made from chips of marble, quartz, glass and concrete, can be traced back to the ancient mosaics of Egypt, with more recent predecessors coming from 18th century Venice. "Our new terrazzo fabric pays homage to a pattern that has stood the test of time," says Mark Litvyakov, product designer at Wigiwama and author of the pattern. "It's a design with a rich history and I have no doubt it will be popular now and in the future."

The terrazzo fabric is a bespoke woven blend of boucle and chenille. Like Wigiwama's other signature fabrics, it is OEKO-TEX® and GRS® certified, durable, hypoallergenic and easy to maintain. Available in 3 colour variations to suit any interior style, terrazzo items can be used as a striking feature or as a complementary element.
