Current trends in decoration and textiles for kids’ rooms
At Kind + Jugend, numerous new products await you in the area of textiles and accessories for kids’ rooms. Current trends can also be seen here, such as the increasingly strong focus on sustainability, safety and design. We have summarised the most important ones for you below.
Baby textiles: Sustainable and safe
Baby textiles such as covers, changing pads and cuddle cloths come into direct contact with the skin, mouth and eyes. Natural materials such as certified organic cotton, virgin sheep wool, organic linen, bamboo fibres, kapok fibres and horsehair are not just more sustainable than acrylic or polyester. Organic cotton for blankets and cloths is also breathable, free of pesticides, skin-friendly and flame retardant. Kapok fibres on the other hand are used as filling material for pillows, have an antibacterial effect and are moisture resistant. Curtains made of linen, virgin wool carpets, natural non-woven wallpaper, raffia baskets and lampshades made of jute are also in demand for sustainable children’s room decor.
Stylish and individual accessories for kids’ rooms
In addition to safety and sustainability, design also plays an important role in textiles and accessories for kids’ rooms. Whether wallpaper, carpets, curtains, lampshades or storage boxes ‒ products in very high demand feature high-quality workmanship, Scandinavian minimalist design and natural uniqueness. Individual wood grains, pleasant pastel colours, natural fabrics and plant fibres create a place of well-being that is aesthetically pleasing and has a special character.
